In the beginning….

there was a girl. She wore her heart on her sleeve. She was sensitive; too-sensitive some would say. She was passionate; too passionate, some would say. She lived intensely, too intensely, some would say. When she was a child, she dreamed of singing and writing and sharing her life with a lover and best friend. She dreamed many dreams; too many, some would say. Others accused her of living, “with her head in the clouds” or in a book. She knew very early on that she never wanted to lose the innocence, the beautiful openness of childhood, but she didn’t quite know how to maintain all that beautiful openness as she grew and experienced pain and loss and heartache and learned to see the world as others saw it; learned to be afraid, learned to close herself off in order to protect herself from the “harsh realities” of life. Still, she fought the contradiction all her life. She knew peace and truth and love and beauty were the real basis of all life. She knew that fear and ugliness and apathy and ignorance were just created in the mind of men; were simply an attitude expressed as a learned response.

She wanted to make a difference, bring some light, some love, some beauty, and depth to the world, to the people she loved, to the people she saw suffering in all the ways she had suffered. She wanted to remind people that they could choose love and truth and beauty. She was inspired by so much beauty she saw, but she despaired at so much of the pain she saw in the world. Unnecessary pain. Little by little, she felt her soul slipping away, as she tried and failed over and over to be a success on the world’s terms, as she tried to fit into this “reality” cast upon her by the society she lived in.

Then, one day, she woke up and decided, enough was enough. She wanted to be the change she sought in the world, so she resolved to be as true and beautiful and loving as she could…to share her best self with the world, and to forget about the trappings of living within the status quo that she had struggled with in the past. She decided to wake up and live, before it was too late. She decided to focus on the reality she wanted to create, instead of worrying about the reality other people saw. She decided to be herself and be okay with being exactly who she is. So, inspired by her family, her friends, and her loves,  here she is. In all her imperfection. In all her beauty.

She lives by this motto: Do what you love, the rest comes.

She aspires to  “Live simply so that others may simply live.”

She lives to uphold these values: beauty. truth. love.

She desires to share her creative spirit with the world to inspire and support others in discovering, realizing, developing, and actualizing their own uniqueness; and sharing it with the world.

And p.s. among other things, she loves quotes and photos and poems…

“I am here to seduce you into a love of life; to help you to become a little more poetic; to help you die to the mundane and to the ordinary so that the extraordinary explodes in your life.” – Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh
